Born in the historic city of Aleppo, Syria, in 1981, Maamoun’s early life was profoundly influenced by his father, Amin Alsoum, a distinguished Master Calligrapher renowned since 1975. Growing up as the son of a master calligrapher, Maamoun gained a deep-rooted understanding of Arabic calligraphy and developed an abiding reverence for its cultural and historical significance. This rich heritage provided the bedrock upon which he embarked on his graphic design journey in 1999.
